Vanessa and Derek 9.25.09

Friday afternoon Vanessa and Derek met me at Elmwood Park for a photo session of just the two of them. Derek said his heart was still racing from seeing Vanessa in her beautiful wedding dress. Very sweet couple truly in love I just loved when Derek twirled her around the grotto. The day was even more memorable when Derek's father Paster Wright performed the ceremony. A little good luck rain fell during the ceremony but did not put a damper on anything. The reception was full of dancing and fun, the guests couldn't wait for the food to be cleared from the dance floor, they just danced around it. This beautiful couple is off to Hawaii where they will be stationed with the US Army. Wishing you both many wonderful years of happiness together. Congratulations.

Sunday I met an amazing fun loving family for pictures at Wehrspan Lake. This was a birthday gift for mom Mary who is definitely a ring leader for this crazy bunch. We had great weather, though rain was in the forecast. I can't wait for you to see the rest of the pictures. They came up with some fun ideas.

Joey's Senior Pictures 9.19.09

Facebook seems to bring everyone back into our lives. I met up with an old school friend Lucy and her son Joey for Senior Pictures Saturday. We started out at Elkhorn High School then we headed to this hidden oasis near Blair for more pictures. We had a really good time and happy they did not have to reschedule as Joey was sick all week. We got some great shots and it was fun catching up with a high school friend. And Lucy introduced me to Kim and her son Zach for this double session. I hope Lucy and Joey like this little preview from Saturday. Thanks for a really fun time. I see bright things in Joey's future.

Senior pics for Zach 9.19.09

Saturday I met up with Zach and his mom Kim for senior pictures, perfect weather. We started out at Elkhorn High School and then headed down to a piece of paradise near Blair. Beautiful piece of land with a lake, covered bridge and fish. Thank you to the owners who let us wonder all over. I am very happy to have met Kim and Zach, wishing him much success in his future after graduation. Here is a sneak peek of our session, hope mom likes these.

Rain, Rain Stay AWAY...so Tara & James can play

Woke up to thunder around 5am, nervous already about the forecast for Sunday. We had planned engagement pictures for my dear beautiful friend Tara and her wonderful fiance James. It was sprinkling on my drive downtown but pretty much stopped by 8:30. We wondered all around the Old Market then over to Gene Leahy Mall. I had so much fun with Tara and James and cannot wait to capture their wedding day. They are a fabulous couple and I think they will have a wonderful life together. So happy we had a perfect day, the clouds even broke out to blue skies for a few final shots with the landscape of downtown Omaha. James even renacted the proposal on the bridge for me. So sweet. Sunday Morning in the Park

Fun morning at Walnut Grobe Park with Tori and her kids Elli, Beau and Leah. We saw ducks in the pond, found bugs and spiders and played on the playground. I wanted to give mom a little sneak peek of our shoot. Had to put in the sweet picture of Leah on her knee with fingers in her mouth check out those blue eyes, what a doll. Hope mom got a nap in today they are busy busy kids. Thanks Tori.

The Minardi's by the pool

My friend Tonja called to do pictures of her kids, it has been over 2 years since we have done pictures. Not only has their family grown by 1 but their kids are growing up so quickly. Alex will be 6 in a couple weeks, Maddie already 4 and Dylan is 1. A friend's backyard and pool made a perfect setting. After our session the girls got to go for a swim and on of the yellow labs. I had to add him to the pictures, and a cute picture of the girls with Aunt Cindy. Beautiful family.
